However, through trial and error, I learned that simplicity is key. I focused on designing intuitive and enjoyable gameplay mechanics that allowed players to learn and master the game without feeling overwhelmed. By incorporating elements such as puzzles, challenges, and rewards, I was able to create a game that was both fun and rewarding.

Finally, we come to the A in AWAD – analytics and optimization. As a game designer, its crucial to continuously analyze player behavior and optimize your game accordingly. This involves using datadriven insights to identify areas of improvement and implementing changes to enhance the player experience.
For instance, in one of my earlier games, I noticed that players were spending an excessive amount of time on a specific level. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the levels difficulty was too high, leading to frustration. By tweaking the levels design and balancing the gameplay, I was able to improve the overall player experience and increase player retention.
